A Peugeot 107 to be precise though I could have had essentially the same car as a Toyota Aygo or Citroën C1. They’re all little hatchbacks made in the Czech Republic, usually with 1 litre petrol triples although they used to do 1.4 diesels as well.
My car had the automated manual, a thing that inspires loathing in many. It actually worked just fine. It manages to creep by allowing the clutch to drag a little when you lift off the brake so you can manoevre easily. The rest of the car worked just fine too though it’s a little noisy to cruise at the 130 kmh that they allow on autoroutes.

My gf has one of these in petrol+manual flavour. Not what id have spent £5500 on for a 1.5 yr old one, but its okayish. Everything’s vague and its a little uncomfortable but its a fine A-B car that’s pretty solid and reliable

According to a friend of mine, there is no need for cruisecontrol in these cars, full throttle in fifth results in 150 km/h which is his preffered cruising speed.

If only we could get French cars in US America ... I’d rent one for sure.

According to statistics, its the most reliable Peugeot/Citroën one can buy. Likewise, its also the least reliable Toyota one can buy.

for £5.5k you are into used VW Up! money, and that’s where I would have gone. much more modern.

That’s exactly what I said. Her parents didnt give her a choice though for some reason they fixated on the 107/c1

We didn’t get these in the States, but I like the idea of Toyota reliability mixed with French style; I don’t know how they are in reality.

Sooner him than me. They’re a little noisy at 130, I wouldn’t like to try one at VMax.
